Mens skin changes quite similarly to womens. However whilst aging, mens skin tend to become thicker than womens. It turns more sebaceous and with more collagen in the fat plane so the thinning is not as striking as it can be for women. Long sun exposure can make the skin dry, thus making it thinner and harder.
How to stop the aging process
I would recommend the same anti aging skin care routine for men that I advise for females. That includes sunscreen, positive glycolic acid, antioxidant rich skin care products and retinoids. Two of the sunscreens I strongly recommend are the Solbar Zinc and the Citrix Sunscreen. They are not only popular with my patients, but they are very commonly used by dermatologists as well.
